DVT PE

Diagnosis, investigation, and management of deep vein thrombosis

Read the last two rapid responses.

At very bottom of the last response the author declares a conflict of interest.

I lost my license to practice medicine in the United States because I stopped warfarin treatment of an alcoholic with a DVT.

Here is one doctors take on this story

So is he still defending himself?

Or are the rest of us doctors just habitually doing what's always been done or what we have been told to do?

Author's Response to Letters to the Editor Regarding the Article Entitled "Anticoagulation Therapy for Venous Thromboembolism"

The above is a long, detailed and well referenced read. Who is right? Unlesss one is a methodologist, statistician and experienced researcher, it's hard to know. Who knows he might be right!! His conflict of interest is declared. What about the conflict of interest of those invested in what's considered to be 'right' right now.

Remember those disfiguring total mastectomies. It took more than 20 years for that tradition to fall victim to evidence.
