Scam artists - dole bludgers
So easy to judge others.
I am working in a low income area. There are many folk on sickness benefits here. A goodly portion of them are well enough to do some kind of work. Most aren't trained to do other kinds of work. But that's not the point. Take an interest in them - put the judgment aside - ask questions from a genuine place of interest and be prepared to see that aggressive nasty persona, (sign this doc plus body language which suggest a bunch of fives if I don't) slip away and be replaced by a scared lost person swimming in a sea of hopelessness. Ask them about their future and it's just more of the same - no way out. Ask them about their present life and it's no bed of roses. They are not very well equipped to deal with their or other people's emotions. They lack so many skills. They lack esteem. They lack confidence. They don't know how to ask for help. Vulnerability in the past has been punished. Battered and bruised people who may well end up battering and bruising others.
